A Louisiana sheriff’s deputy with serious anger issues was arrested over the weekend on home invasion charges after storming into a home and punching a man in the face.
Surprisingly, Jonathan Lavoi, a Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s corrections officer, was placed on unpaid administrative leave.
Lavoi, 38, was taken into custody by fellow deputies Saturday after the sheriff’s office was alerted of a disturbance.

Louisiana Cops Shoots Family Dog, Refuse to Release Body Cam Footage

A black Labrador named Max belonging to a family in Lafayette, Louisiana was shot and killed by a city marshal, who was looking to arrest its owner for outstanding traffic warrants.
Now the family may be cited by animal control for not having the dog on a leash.
The incident took place Monday when the marshal walked up to a home to arrest Bryant Marks for driving a vehicle with a suspended license and for a hit-and-run accident.
As he walked up to the door, Max came out from beneath the home and ran towards the marshal, which was when he was shot dead.

Colon cancer deaths are on the decline nationwide, but remain frighteningly high in the Mississippi delta, Western Appalachia, and the borderland between Virginia and North Carolina, the American Cancer Society (ACS) reports. [1]
The ACS attributes the skyrocketing rates of the disease in those areas to obesity, lack of education and a lack of access to medical care.
