President Donald Trump has attempted to establish a false equivalence between neo-Nazis and the anti-fascist, anti-racist leftists who were most recently seen resisting neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia.

A petition currently active on the White House website is asking President Trump to officially designate “Anti-Fascist Action” or ANTIFA, as a terror group.

James Allsup is a YouTube partner, writer, and former political operative. He runs a YouTube political commentary channel with over 100k subscribers, writes for The Liberty Conservative, and was the Senior Adviser for the Students for Trump organization in the 2016 election cycle. He is a senior at Washington State University and former chairman of the Washington College Republicans Federation.

Under the new policy just announced in Charlottesville, Virginia, the city will be taking down all but the non-racist war monuments and memorials in all of its public spaces.
Three monuments to the Confederate war, fought to maintain slavery — those of Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and a generic Confederate soldier — will all be removed under the new guidelines.
In addition a heroic equestrian monument to George Rogers Clark is coming down, as Native American genocide has been ruled racist.

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – After the events of Charlottesville, many took issue with U.S. President Donald Trump for his delayed response to the violence and, later, his perceived reluctance to condemn the white nationalist and Neo-Nazi elements that comprised a significant part of the deadly “Unite the Right” rally.

Around 9pm on August 12, a group of white supremacists and neo-Nazis gathered at Nameless field, a large swathe of grass on the University of Virginia campus.
Two-by-two they descended, yelling “blood and soil!” and “you will not replace us!”- the light from their torches and their indignant voices the only thing penetrating the summer night air.
Some minutes later, they faced off with anti-racism demonstrators and so began another decisive chapter in American race relations.
Reactions poured in from all corners of the country; people were emotional and angry.

I went to PS 197 and then James Madison High School in a very Jewish part of Brooklyn. And politically, a very liberal part of Brooklyn. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Bernie Sanders grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same schools. It's still a very Jewish neighborhood... but not as liberal.
