In April 2013, Mats Jarlstrom's wife received a ticket for going through a red light after driving her car through an intersection. She paid the fine, but the timing of the traffic lights at the intersection piqued Jarlstrom’s interest, so he decided to look into a formula created in 1959 to calculate the length of yellow lights. The result was a $500 for practicing engineering without a license.

Schooling and education have become inextricably linked (with mixed results), but prior to passage of America's first compulsory schooling statute it was generally accepted that there were many ways to become educated.
Recent reports show that the United States is one of the most obese nations in the world. A 2015 report commission by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development found that the US “has the fattest kids by a wide margin and is tops in poor health for teenagers.” But one wonders if public spending is what is partly fueling the obesity epidemic.

The FBI is a historically untrustworthy secret organization. It is time to cease venerating a federal agency whose abuses have perennially menaced Americans’ constitutional rights.
I started watching Rick and Morty when the pilot episode of Season 3 came out a few weeks ago. I began with that episode, then went back to the beginning and watched almost the entire thing in an afternoon. And just like that, I was a member of one of the most eccentric, bubbly fan clubs currently active.
Imagine my excitement when I found out the Rickmobile is a thing, and that it was coming to Atlanta.
We know (or think we know) that high blood glucose, or hyperglycemia, is linked to diabetes and obesity. But now scientists have also recently discovered a link between excess blood sugar and Alzheimer’s disease.
Researchers have established a “tipping point” link between excess blood glucose and the disease, meaning that people who eat a lot of sugar could be more likely to go on to develop Alzheimer’s. [1]

There are many moral, ethical and legally correct reasons for firing James Comey, but there is little question that Donald Trump indeed told the former FBI Director ‘you’re fired’ for reasons of personal anger and disgust.
READ MORE: Comey’s sacking was NOT an obstruction of justice
The Trump White House plunged deeper into political crisis Thursday, as President Trump and top aides gave conflicting accounts of how and why Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, and FBI and Justice Department officials flatly contradicted the White House version of events. As the Trump administration scrambled to defend the decision to fire Comey, Democrats have seized on the[Read More...]
The hypocrisy of the Democrats simply cannot be ignored.
Jimmy Dore highlights a never ending stream of tweets comparing what Democrat lawmakers and mainstream media pundits said 4-5 months ago about James Comey, and their about face, “have it both ways”, narrative about the FBI Director now that Trump did the right thing and canned him.
The liberal left hypocrisy is too easy to point out.
While it’s hard to keep up with the shifting reports of how the decision to fire FBI Director James Comey came about, President Donald Trump on Thursday admitted to directly asking the former head of law enforcement if he was under investigation—a move many said presented a shocking conflict of interest. “A dinner was arranged, I think he asked for[Read More...]
Whether one is in favour of the decriminalisation/legalisation of drugs or one wants to completely erase their existence, no one of sound mind could argue that drugs should be smuggled, bought and sold on the black market.
The illegal drugs trade is a conduit for violent crime ranging from threats and blackmail on one end of the dark spectrum to homicide, rape, arson and human trafficking on the other. Drug deals are often the bedrock of finance for organised crime syndicates and violent gangs.

The society and humankind has been painstakingly trained, through centuries, to be fascinated by black and white. In the current context of planned closure of the SSP dam sluice gates (understood as planned for 09 May 2017 by NCA), about 40,000 PAFs (2,00,000 people) in Madhya Pradesh alone, along with their villages and one township, will be drowned. Their forcible evacuation by police action is being planned and is imminent. Such action will bring utter shame on our Republic.

There are test-tube babies and three-parent babies, and both generate plenty of controversy. But as it stands, making a baby still requires an egg from a mother and sperm cells from a father. Scientists say that won’t always be the case, though, because someday it will likely be possible to make babies from skin cells alone.
Last year, scientists in Japan revealed that mice had been born of eggs made from a parent’s skin cells, and researchers believe the same technique can one day be used in humans. [1]

Trump stated he hopes there are no tapes between himself and recently fired FBI Director James Comey – alluding to the idea that Comey may start leaking certain information to the press about their interactions.

According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the alliance is again considering boosting its troop strength in Afghanistan. A decision on the possible troop increase is expected to be made by June. The timeframe of the deployments can also be lengthened. At present, the bloc deploys a 13,000 strong force in the country, which is losing ground to the Taliban. The US accounts for 8,400 military which are part of the NATO contingent.
George Bush’s National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice was speaking at the neo-con Brookings Institution when she said the following,

“I would never have said to President Bush (to) use military force to bring democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan”.

During the first round of the French presidential election I showed readers and social media fans how Facebook tested micro-censoring technology a political analyst and influencer’s account. A day before Marine Le Pen and Rothschild puppet Emmanuel Macron vied for the French presidency, we analyzed many of the so-called #MacronLeaks papers and presented circumstantial evidence he’s a crook and worse.

Pakistan’s decision to participate in the Saudi-led Islamic Military Alliance (IMA) certainly has attracted criticism from Iran, and it was perhaps the reason why Tehran initially reacted harshly to the border attack from Balochistan, Pakistan’s western province, which killed at least 10 Iranian border guards in April. However, the fallout from the attack appears to have been well handled diplomatically by both sides.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has given an interview in which he explained his support for the so-called ‘de-escalation’ zones established in the recent Astana Memorandum.
Assad said that the primary goal of the Syrian government is now as it always has been, the cessation of violence and bloodshed in the country.
This statement echoes remarks by Syrian political commentator Afraa Dagher who defined this widespread Syrian sentiment in a recent interview with The Duran.
