Much is made of Hezbollah’s support role inside Syria, standing in solidarity with the Syrian Arab Army against the NATO terrorist proxy army that has relentlessly waged a dirty & criminal war on Syria for the last 5 years.
However very little is ever mentioned about their crucial role along the Lebanese borders with Syria where they once more work with the Syrian Arab Army to form a shield against the threat of a terrorist invasion of Lebanon itself.
This morning I was privileged to meet with Emile Rahmeh, eminent lawyer and Lebanese politician, member of Parliament and respected analyst of events in Syria and Lebanon and how they are interconnected.
Mr Rahmeh explained his divergence from his support for anti Palestinian factions during the Lebanese war and his evolution to endorsement of the Hezbollah Resistance inside Lebanon.
One of the most salient and chilling points made by Mr Rahmeh during the brief meeting was that the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah have formed a corridor on the Syrian/Lebanese border that is successfully containing the terrorist factions comprising mainly Al Nusra and ISIS.
“Thank God for the resistance because without them the Lebanese would be migrants” driven from their homes by the wave of terrorist entities that are being stemmed by the Syrian and Lebanese resistance alliance and defences.
Arising Difficulties
According to Mr Rahmeh, the Lebanese Army is being prevented from officially partnering with the Syrian Arab Army to defend their mutual borders. The Lebanese army is unable to act without political accord and resolution.
Hezbollah is able to operate without such constraints and is acting in the interests of the Lebanese people but with scant public recognition of this crucial role in preventing a Lebanese refugee catastrophe and NATO terrorist invasion.

Hizbullah on Thursday bombarded the posts of the extremist Islamic State group in the outskirts of the eastern border town of al-Qaa, inflicting casualties, Hizbullah’s Military Media reported.
It said the party fired heavy machineguns, artillery and multiple rocket launchers after detecting IS movements and gatherings in the al-Kahf area.
On Wednesday, Hizbullah destroyed a bulldozer for the al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front in the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal. The bulldozer was carrying out reinforcements in the area of Wadi al-Khayl when the fighters destroyed it.
Artillery shelling by the Lebanese army had on Tuesday destroyed al-Nusra’s posts in the Wadi al-Khayl and Khirbet Younin areas amid army shelling of the outskirts of Arsal, Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa.
The army has been shelling the outskirts of the three towns for several days now.
Troops have been on high alert since the unprecedented suicide bombings that hit the Christian border town of al-Qaa in late June.
Militants from IS and al-Nusra are entrenched in rugged areas along the undemarcated Lebanese-Syrian border and the army regularly shells their posts while Hizbullah and the Syrian army have engaged in clashes with them on the Syrian side of the border.
The two groups briefly overran the town of Arsal in August 2014 before being ousted by the army after days of deadly battles.
The retreating militants abducted more than 30 troops and policemen of whom four have been executed and nine remain in the captivity of the IS group.
