Arizona Man Sues Prosecutor for Wrongful Arrest that Kept him in Jail for Two Months

Imagine spending two months in jail for a robbery that you didn’t commit. Well, that is exactly what happened to an Iowa man after he was falsely charged with first-degree robbery.
Now he is suing the prosecutor that threw him in jail.
Joseph McBride, 23, was arrested for his assumed role in a January 2017 home invasion robbery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
McBride was in Phoenix at the time of his August 2017 arrest, several months after the original crime was committed.

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper resigned Wednesday in the midst of being investigated for having sex on duty with a crash victim.
The crash victim’s husband, Robert Abruzzese, blew the whistle on the affair after receiving a text message that was sent to his wife’s phone from trooper Scott Maus. The latest sexual arrangement between Maus and the woman occurred in a church parking lot.

Miami Officials Vote to End Revenue Generating Red Light Camera Program

City commissioners in Miami agreed on Thursday to pull the plug on their red light camera program early next year.
The city voted unanimously to cancel its contract with American Traffic Solutions, which operates has 147 cameras placed around the city.
Ninety-eight of them are operational.
Now the company has 60 day to discontinue its lucrative operations in the city.
Citations of $158 per ticket will stop after the program vanishes.
But anyone who receives a ticket before the program ends will be responsible for dealing with it.

A Crawford County deputy shot the dog moments earlier.
The video begins with Hollis telling Crawford he’ll take him to jail unless he cuts off his dog’s head.
Goodwin wanted to take his dog to the vet.

Florida bail bondsmen were busted on video beating a man with a metal pipe, punching and macing him after he missed a November court date for a suspended license.
“This is how they act when they don’t know they’re being recorded,” Lara Laign, the woman who recorded the video on December 13 told NBCMiami.
“It was just insane.”
“I was just so disturbed and disgusted by what I just saw,” she said.

A New York man is in hot water after being arrested for impersonating a police officer in order to get a discount on his coffee on December 8.
Mark Setter, 48, flashed a fake badge and a BB gun, demanding a discount at a Buffalo Starbucks around 11 p.m. according to, FOX5NY.

Texas Cop Indicted for Shooting Unarmed Man Burglarizing Own Truck

The Texas cop who shot an unarmed man for trying to break into his own truck – shooting him again after the man resisted an anal cavity search – was indicted by a grand jury last week.
“The jury got it right,” Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson announced after the indictment.
“We will be prosecuting this case very vigorously, we are seeking whatever we can get out of this case,” she said, vowing to seek the maximum punishment for Mesquite cop Derrick L. Wiley.
