Overstock founder and CEO, Patrick Byrne, resigned last week amid ties to a government probe related to the 2016 election. He made the wild claim that he received "fishy" orders from former FBI official Peter Strzok to have a romantic relationship with a young Russian woman, Maria Butina.

Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne delivered to the Department of Justice a number of documents, including emails and text messages, in April, regarding both the origins of the Russian investigation, and an FBI operation into Hillary Clinton with which he was personally involved during the first months of 2016, according to a U.S. official who spoke SaraACarter.com.
Byrne has also confirmed the account.

News agency Interfax has confirmed that Russian authorities have brought espionage charges against an American citizen, Paul Whelan, who faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Russia arrested US citizen, Paul Whelan, a 48-year-old US Marine and head of security at auto-parts maker, BorgWarner. He is charged with "espionage" while on a personal trip in Moscow.
