"Guess what," said Chris Hayes Wednesday night in a brilliant commentary (above) on the Bolton-Trump revelations, "Donald Trump is exactly as terrible as we thought he was and John Bolton is exactly who we thought he was as well. That afternoon, we had all read how Trump begged President Xi Jinping of China to help him win reelection. Today in an interview Trump did with the Wall Street Journal's Michael Bender, he struck out at Xi.

There's never been another president-- at least not in our lifetimes-- as antithetical to Americanism as Trump. And I've never seen as negative a reaction to him than to anyone else-- not Reagan, not Nixon... Maybe John Tyler, a vice president who became president when William Harrison died a month after being sworn in (1841). Tyler was the most racist president until Trump and one of the country's staunchest defenders of slavery. Like Trump, he was also a traitor to the country, backing secession and becoming a member of the Confederate Congress.

When Congress authorized $1,200 emergency checks to American families, the word "emergency" connoted that they were to go out FAST. Instead the always dysfunctional and incompetent Trumpist regime dawdled to accommodate Trump's horrifying narcissism. After all, the IRS had to figure out how the millions of checks would include Trump's signature. The Washington Post reported that made the checks late by days.

During his coronavirus briefing today, Trump blamed hospitals-- where doctors and nurses are literally dying trying to save patients-- for selling ventilators and masks (which is, of course, exactly what he would do himself). "It’s a New York hospital, very-- it’s packed all the time. How do you go from 10 to 20 thousand masks per week to 300,000? Ten thousand to 20,000 masks, to 300,000-- even though this is different?

It's worth watching this Bernie endorsement video by Illinois state Senator Robert Peters, the former political director of Reclaim Chicago and the young man who now represents the Chicago district Obama used to represent. Biden has big lists of worthless politicians who have been endorsing him, generally mean nd women whose endorsement would want to make people run in the opposite direction.

Trump still has a motley collection of apologists-- the Fox News crew, hate talk radio hosts, self-serving politicians, neo-Nazi crackpots and their partners in the white evangelical movement-- but there is no longer anyone with an ounce of intellectual integrity defending Trump or unwilling to admit that he is, far and away, the worst "president" in American history-- off the scale (or on an entirely different scale)

Virtually everything he says is meant to manipulate, primarily his low-IQ base. I have a very recent example.
