Despite the lamentations and orders from Geneva or the local capitals of Capital, I refuse to believe that COVID-19 or the putative pathogens are a principal challenge to humanity — except for those using these viruses for policing and/or culling the population.

On August 2, lockdown measures were implemented in Melbourne, Australia, that were so draconian that Australian news commentator Alan Jones said on Sky News: “People are entitled to think there is an ‘agenda to destroy western society.’”
It is time to stop irresponsible finger-pointing.
All over the world, as this essay is being written, well over 17 million COVID-19 cases have been reported, and 676,000 people died. And instead of concentrating on serious research, trying to save human lives and attempting to stop the global calamity, ‘residents’ of the White House are spending all their energy on their own political survival, as well as on the survival of the regime.
For a half century, I’ve been of the opinion that there is just one social issue of real importance. Until we put an end to state warfare, or mass-murder for corporate profit, all other causes are meaningless. Recently I’ve come to the conclusion that the age of bombing for dollars has nearly come to an end. The fighter jets from nearby Davis-Monthan AFB no longer rip the silent skies asunder, practice-strafing the city of Tucson, replaced instead by what appear to be slow moving surveillance aircraft. Imagine, you are living in a world that you are told is a democracy – and you may even believe it – but, in fact, your life and fate is in the hands of a few ultra-rich, ultra-powerful and ultra-inhuman oligarchs. Finally, the long hell of imposed self-isolation is breaking – at least in much of the United States. America reopens now. The self-isolation period – a very unhealthy period, physically as well as psychologically – is being shown to have been a producer of the damage and death during its imposition, but even more now.
