There were bizarre scenes at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London today, as the extradition process of Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange (present via videophone from Belmarsh prison) was again delayed.
Assange is facing one of the most disturbing confections put together by any state that claims itself to be free. Should this stratagem work, the publisher will find himself facing the legal proceedings of a country that boasts of having a free press amendment but is keen on excluding him from it. Partisan mainstream outlets and Democratic Party leaders are in an uproar over President Trump granting clemency to former advisor Roger Stone, saving him from 3 1/2 years in prison for various process crimes stemming from the failed Mueller Probe.
Last night President Donald Trump commuted the sentence of former advisor Roger Stone.
Stone was due to report to prison to serve 40 months for process crimes relating to the collapsed Mueller probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US election.
The White House confirmed that Stone’s sentence would be commuted and added that he was a victim of the Democrat Party and Intelligence Community’s long-running Russiagate “hoax.”
