Ukrainian President Zelensky Lied about the Russian Missile Attack, Tried to Draw US into War

President Zelensky continued to push the narrative that Russia was responsible for the missile strike that landed in Poland, even though evidence indicated that the weapons were Ukrainian. Poland is a NATO country and an attack could have triggered Article 5, obligating other NATO countries to defend it.

The New York Times reported Saturday evening that a "senior Ukrainian official" corroborated Russian reports that Ukraine was behind the truck bomb attack. Zelensky and other top Ukrainian officials taunted Putin. Ukraine issued a postage stamp of the bombing, indicating that it had been planned for some time.

On March 31, the International Election Observation Mission released a statement concluding their assessment of Ukraine’s 2019 presidential election. In it, they wrote:

Most previous ODIHR and Council of Europe’s European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) recommendations that would bring the legal framework further in line with international obligations and standards, as well as good practice, including for the adoption of an election code that would consolidate and harmonize the various election laws, remain unaddressed.”
