Russia has vetoed a UN Security Resolution jointly proposed by the US, UK and France. The resolution is a slightly revised version of the one proposed last week which essentially calls for an investigation into the infamous chemical weapons attack in Idlib Governorate, while pre-assigning guilt to Syria, a party that by any objective means does not and could not bear responsibility for the attack.
Acting Russian Ambassador to the UN Vladimir Safronkov, delivered a scathing indictment on the United States and its allies over the illegal missile strike on Syria.
Russia has just vetoed a resolution proposed jointly by the US, UK and France. The resolution would have condemned Syria for a chemical weapons attack near Idlib.

“This draft was penned in haste and adopting it would have been irresponsible”.
