The speech was massive, and there remain in fact areas that we still did not cover that are worth reading in the full speech, linked here. President Vladimir Putin gave a very long and comprehensive speech about the Russian State of the Nation on February 20, 2019. We split the speech into sections for shorter reading and some offered analysis and comment about the direction Russia is taking under President Putin’s leadership. Putin’s speech focuses on domestic issues as media pushes missile warning (Video)

RT CrossTalk host Peter Lavelle and The Duran’s Alex Christoforou take a quick look at Vladimir Putin’s annual address to Russian lawmakers, where the Russian President warned the United States not to deploy medium and short-range nuclear missiles in Europe, saying it would “dramatically exacerbate the international security situation” and create serious challenges to Russia.
Putin noted that “this is a very serious threat to us. In this case, we will be forced – I want to emphasize this – forced to take tit-for-tat steps.”

Russia: No new Syria offensive

The presidents of Iran, Russia and Turkey have met several times in a bid to preserve Syrian sovereignty [PPIO]
The leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey have signed a 17-point final communique outlining their trilateral approach to stabilizing Syria but Moscow says there will be no new offensive in the north.
Presidents Hassan Rouhani, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan said they were committed to “the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic”.
