A few days ago I wrote a poem about the Red Army victory over the international forces of fascism in 1945, the poem called simply, The 9th of May, about the celebration date of the victory. The first stanza reads,

Four years ago, Americans were told that the US Army planned mass arrests and that “trainloads of shackles” were being shipped into the Western United States to use during the arrests of millions in a massive crackdown on “White conservatives” by the Obama administration.
Alternative media moguls, back by YouTube’s most powerful conspiracy pundits claimed that huge warehouses had just gone up in the “back woods of Kentucky” and that millions of caskets of those to be executed would be stored there.

In a perfect universe, intelligent life from Earth would be seen waiting on the next shuttle to the Alpha Centauri colony. But we do not live in a perfect universe. We live as walk-ons in a tragic comedy where millions of human beings either starve, die of disease, or get shot to pieces in Energy wars. We live on a spinning rock in space where President Donald Trump’s limo is compared to President Vladimir Putin’s in Google News.

With US-backed militants having already reached the full extent of their gains on the battlefield and now facing incremental but inevitable defeat – the US appeared to be out of time and out of options.

If reports are to be believed, there was wide agreement between Putin and Trump on Venezuela and much of what had been said by the US policies “mouth pieces,” John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, had never been approved by President Trump.
