(ZHE) WikiLeaks’ latest Vault 7 release contains a batch of documents, named ‘Marble’, which detail CIA hacking tactics and how they can misdirect forensic investigators from attributing viruses, trojans and hacking attacks to their agency by inserted code fragments in foreign languages. The tool was in use as recently as 2016. Per the WikiLeaks release:
(MINTPRESS) According to whistleblower Edward Snowden, a recent leak of secret NSA hacking tools reflects an escalation in tensions between Russia and the United States. For others, though, it highlights concerns about what, if any, privacy is afforded to the general public.
As humans, we might think that we are the first ones to adapt or use tools, but new evidence is showing that primates have been using tiny hammers and other tools to open cashews for over 700 years. In their paper published in the journal Current Biology, scientists at the University of Oxford have even suggested that people knew cashews were safe to eat by observing monkeys crack them open with their primitive tools and eating them. The recent discover in Brazil dates the tools back to the 1300’s, but researchers don’t think it stops there.
