Turkey votes in referendum to give Erdogan total control

Today, Turkey holds a referendum that if passed, will change the Constitution and fundamentally alter the political balance of power in Turkey.
The proposed changes would make Turkey’s’ President, a post currently held by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, an ultra-powerful and largely unaccountable position.
The referendum would abolish the all ready weakened post of Prime Minister and allow the President to personally appoint his ministers, independent of Parliament.

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad intends to run in this year’s election

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has registered to run in this year’s election to be held on the 19th of May.
He has declared his candidacy in spite of an admonition from Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who has said that Ahmadinejad’s candidacy would ‘polarise’ Iran.
Ahmadinejad is considered a hardliner both on domestic and foreign policy issues.

BREAKING: Rex Tillerson has public meeting with Sergey Lavrov in Moscow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has welcomed US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to Moscow for the start of talks on a wide range of issues, said to include: counter-terrorism, Ukraine/Donbass, North Korea and perhaps most urgently, Syria.
In an opening meeting, Sergey Lavrov clarified Russia’s ‘consistent’ position which had been relayed numerous times, but said that he has many questions for the US side.

BREAKING: ‘Intel shows more attacks planned in Syria to blame Assad,’ Putin says at press conference (VIDEO)

Russian President Vladimir Putin has just held a press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Putin told reporters that Russian intelligence indicates that terrorist factions operating in Syria are planning further chemical weapons attacks, likely in regions south of Damascus.
Putin explained that these attacks will be used as provocations for further US military action in Syria as the terrorists will blame the attacks on President Assad. In other words, the intelligence points to a premeditated false flag attack.
