Jeffrey lied. He looked uncomfortable. I was glad he mentioned that the situation in Syria is at a stalemate. And it seems to me it was designed to be that way. Maybe it's better to describe the situation as the US is 'in check', put or kept whichever you prefer, at the moment?to keep someone or something under control; to restrain someone or something.  In my opinion the move to keep the US in check was the reason that Syria, Russia and Turkey cooperated to ship terrorists into Idlib. Location. Location.
