Cleveland Charges Tamir Rice For Ambulance Ride in American Rendition of Iran’s “Bullet Fee”

The City of Cleveland has filed a creditor’s lien against the estate of Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old boy slain by officer Timothy Loehmann in 2014.
Not much different than how Iran’s authoritarian government charges “bullet fees” to the families of executed citizens.
Cleveland EMS wants $450 for “Advanced Life Support Services” and another $50 for “Mileage” for tending to the dying child after officers shot him, failed to render any form of aid.

The Pittsburgh police officer who was acquitted this week on assault charges when a surveillance video clearly shows he assaulted a teenager will once again face the same charges after the FBI announced it would launch its own investigation.
Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala made the announcement this afternoon, informing reporters that he would refile charges against Sergeant Stephen Matakovich.

Award-Winning Florida Deputy Indicted for Beating Non-Resisting Man in Surveillance Video

Florida deputies chased a suspected drug dealer for a mile before he stopped, raised his arms, fell to his knees and laid himself facedown on the ground in an obvious attempt at surrender.
The five Marion County deputies then hopped out of a truck and proceeded to beat him for 30 seconds; kneeing him, kicking him, punching him – all while yelling “stop resisting.”
They later claimed Derrick Price was combative and resisting, which was why he had a black eye in his mugshot.
But Price accused them of excessive force and a surveillance video proved him right.

NYPD Settles for Nearly $3 Million for Fabricating Charges Against Great-Grandfather to Protect Cop

An NYPD cop speeding on his police scooter lost control and ran into an elderly man crossing the street, sending the man flying head over heels and leaving him injured in the street.
New York City police officer Thomas Hopper then cited Jose Flores for jaywalking, accusing him of endangering the life of an officer by stepping in front of him, even though a surveillance video shows Flores looked both ways before crossing.
It also shows that Hopper had lost control and that the scooter was skidding on its side when it slammed into Flores on August 7, 2012.

Award-Winning Washington Cop Runs Red Light and Crashes Into Teen, Then Cites Teen for DUI After Teen Admitted to Smoking Pot Two Hours Earlier

In an odd turn of events, a 16-year-old was charged with a DUI in Washington after a Spokane police officer ran a red light, crashed into the teenager and then blamed him for the accident.
Officer Seth Killian, who has been awarded countless accolades throughout his law enforcement career, was distracted and ran a red light on December 8 crashing into the teenager’s vehicle.
He even admitted to being at fault in the moments after the crash.
“I screwed up, man,” a distraught Killian is heard telling another officer in a conversation captured on his body cam.

Maryland Law Enforcement Officers Caught on Camera Choking, Beating Man (Updated)

Maryland law enforcement officers were captured on surveillance video chasing a man into a store and beating him over an apparent small amount of heroin.
The video was sent to Cop Block from a source saying the officers were from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
But the patches they are wearing appear to match Maryland State Police more than the sheriff’s office. However, Maryland State Police tend to wear long-sleeve uniforms and these officers are wearing short sleeves.

Award-Winning NYPD Cop Caught on Video Falsifying Arrest, Accusing Four Men of Holding Him Up at Knifepoint (Updated)

Once again, a New York City police officer was exposed as a liar by surveillance video.
This time, it was an undercover NYPD named Winston McDonald, a 2012 “Cop of the Month” recipient, who claimed four men tried to mug him at knifepoint outside a Brooklyn hardware store last month.
The suspects, however, claim the cop approached them inside a hardware store, flashing money, looking to buy drugs.

Florida Deputy Beats Handcuffed Man; Forced to Resign After Fellow Deputy Blows Whistle

A Florida deputy resigned last month after another deputy came forward, accusing him of using excessive force on a handcuffed suspect sitting in the back of a patrol car.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office this week released the video from inside the car that led to an internal affairs investigation.
Sergeant Timothy Bammert resigned in the midst of the investigation rather than wait for its outcome.
The video shows the handcuffed suspect sitting in the back of the car when he starts kicking the side of the door, yelling at deputies to “leave my old lady alone.”
