President Vladimir Putin shocked the Western world into disbelief on March 1st, 2018, when he announced the Russian Federation’s successful development of new, highly advanced hypersonic weapons. That development apparently continues apace, as a new image of what may be Russia’s 6th generation fighter plane was revealed to the world. This plane is also hypersonic.
Russian defense industry sources have recently unveiled a massive, 20-ton stealth drone fighter to be flight-tested later this year — will be the prototype for their sixth-generation jet, according to TASS.
It looks like US Policy may have just backfired royally in the Middle East (yet again); the latest reports indicate that Turkey may purchase Russian Su-57s, if the US suspends their deliveries of the F-35s.
According to Tass news, citing Turkish paper YeniSafak:
When the United States developed its Fifth Generation air-superiority fighter, the F-22 Raptor, it gave the world a glimpse at a superior aircraft in terms of stealth abilities (the ability to appear invisible to radar and tracking systems) speed (top speeds are classified, though admittedly appears slower than earlier generations like the F-15), and maneuverability (the best, bar none). But military secrets are the most fleeting of all, as they say, and so the Russian Federation sought to meet and exceed the benchmarks set by the F-22, and they have done it with the new Su-57.
There is nothing more cool that to watch military hardware on display.
Especially when it is flying military hardware in the air.
