When you own an EV, likely you will be stuck with it for life, unable to sell it when the battery is shot; your choice is to pay a huge fee tor battery disposal or pay thousands of dollars for a brand new battery. The primary vendors hoover up data, exchange or sell it to others; that is the expected outcome. But a mishmash of security hubris leftover lets black hat hackers assemble an IoT profile on you to see when you are home, what valuables you might have, etc. Figuratively speaking, it leaves you naked as a jaybird for all to peer into your home.
Smart Grid was created for alternate energy and both are giant scams. In as early as 2008, I predicted that smart grid would eventually balance its energy deficit off the backs of consumers. Now you can see the end of the scam.
Smart home technology has hidden dangers that most home owners do not understand. "Smart home" includes programmable devices within the home and, bi-directional connectivity to the Internet. Utility smart meters provide another gateway to monitor and control connected electrical devices such as thermostats, refrigerators, washers and driers, etc.
Smart meters that monitor and control energy usage are essential to Technocracy. It's getting ugly when the power company simply shuts of your power if you refuse to install the digital meter. People will die and new riots will make the old ones look like a birthday party.
