Yogendra Yadav recently wrote about how secularism gave up the language of religion. He blamed secular English-speaking elites for not talking in terms of the cultural metaphors that common Indian could relate with. I understand where he is coming from. But I object to both to the diagnosis of the problem that English-speaking elites are secular while masses are communal. [Read More...]
There are some basic questions that Americans must consider if they are rational and able to think through things critically:
Do you live in a large American city? Many of us do. Is your city run by a Democrat government or a mixed or even Republican government? How much have things changed in your city over the last five or six years?
How about this one: Are you working now? Are you not working? Did you lose your job to the virus? Have you found another one? How are things going with getting by?
Where do you get your news from?
It is probably not CBS, ABC, NBC or even Fox News most of the time; not if you have a smartphone with a Twitter, Youtube or Facebook feed. In fact, online sources are likely to be first to bring any given story to our attentionand maybe we will go to one of these venerable sources for confirmation, if we have time. Most of the time we do not take the time to do this.
And, they know that. Yes, “They.” Them. The shadow government. The Deep State. Soros. They all know this.
