Seattle police chief Carmen Best has announced her retirement during ongoing conversation in the Seattle city council about cutting funding and numbers of police in the city. Tim and Adam discuss the implications in Seattle and Chicago as the progressive left makes policy moves.

Paul Gallant has a new perspective on violent protests after mocking President Donald Trump in June for saying anarchists were burning and pillaging Seattle. Gallant lives in an apartment above a Starbucks coffee shop that was trashed and burned.

SEATTLE – Early Wednesday morning, Seattle police moved on the “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest” (CHOP) and its inhabitants – a nearly month-long social justice mob experiment from which city leaders initially backed down in the wake of nationwide Black Lives Matter protests sparked by the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd.

City Council member Kshama Sawant, a committed socialist/communist, joined the protest mob and called for Durkan's removal. City workers have begun removing the barriers from the CHOP squatters' camp.
