There are already signs that Donald Trump is transforming the Republican Party from a neo-con body into one more at ease with traditional conservatism.
One of the clearest barometers of such trends is Fox News, the perennial mouth piece of the Republican Party, and one time hawkish neo-con bullhorn.
But things seem to be slowly changing.
In an extensive interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News, Julian Assange said unequivocally that the Wikileaks source for the DNC email leaks was not Russia nor a state actor. In keeping with the Wikileaks tradition of never disclosing a specific source, Assange refused to elaborate further. Others, however, including former British diplomat Craig Murray, have said that the source was someone in the United States with easy access to the leaked information.

(ANTIMEDIA) Division is created by fear, which generates hate. Politics is the biggest dividing line in this country, and politicians exacerbate that division by unabashedly promoting fear — which rouses hate in those who allow the paranoia and angst to consume them. People who are filled with hate are angry enough to vote. And if a politician “hates” what you hate, you’re more likely to vote for them. The technical term for those who fall for this cycle is “sucker.”
Who knew what an advocate of an anti-trust agenda Trump is! He's now threatening to use political power against the owner of the Washington Post-- and using a distorted version of Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren terminology to do it-- for daring to investigate him during the campaign. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, is, according to Trump, using the Washington Post as a political tool to keep his taxes low.

It's not that Republicans overlook Ronald Reagan's racism; it's part of why they adore him. My friend Guillaume watched the Fox debate with me. He's from Nîmes, but he follows American politics ardently. "They all want to be Ronald Reagan," he said. "Nothing else? Ceci est tout simplement fou!" When Hannity interviewed Trump (above), one of the softballs he tossed him was who his favorite president was. Trump hasn't lost enough of his marbles yet to say anything but Reagan.
