Democrat Governor J. B. Pritzker of Illinois, who has made much of his being a 'sanctuary state', has now found himself overwhelmed by illegal immigrants and resorted to pleading with Texas to stop sending them.

Kindo Jeancy is the second migrant to be accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Erie County, New York, and local officials are demanding that New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) stop sending migrants to the region.

Those who were arrested are suspected in 200 more crimes in several states over the past nine years. Of the 22 defendants, 19 had entered the country illegally in the past three or four years.

Carranza was an admitted gang member and had six prior arrests, including battery, resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine. Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties ignored nine ICE detainers to deport Carranza due to California's state and local policies offering sanctuary.

Orange County, just south of Los Angeles, is a pocket of conservatism in a deep blue state, and local citizens are pushing back against California's sanctuary state laws that severely limit cooperation with federal immigration officials. The Orange County Sheriff's Department announced it will publicly post when inmates are released from custody. The information will apply to all inmates although it is intended to assist ICE agents to pick up those with criminal records as they are released.

The mayor of Aliso Viejo, California is joining leaders of other cities looking to opt out of the state's "sanctuary" law, which allows for less cooperation on the local level with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.  The Los Alamitos City Council is the first city to opt out of the unconstitutional law, which was met with overwhelming support of about 50 to 1.  The ACLU is threatening to sue the city if they fail to comply with state law. California passed a state law defining itself as a “sanctuary state.”  This law went into effect on January 1 of this year.  However, this is defiant act against U.S. Federal law governing the treatment of illegal immigrants into the United States of America, of which California is still part.
The Trump Administration is not taking this lying down.
