ICE agents arrested two repeat-offender Mexican nationals at Sonoma County Court despite a California law prohibiting federal agens from making arrests at courthouses without a warrant from a judge. ICE claims it doesn’t matter what laws California put in place, because they don’t nullify federal immigration laws.

The partial removal of the county’s sanctuary policy comes after at least nine illegal aliens had been charged with sex crimes and rape, often against children, in the region over the course of just two months.

One of the suspects had been arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, but King County Jail ignored an ICE request for retainer, and he was released. He was arrested and released two more times before the high school boy's murder.

California passed a state law defining itself as a “sanctuary state.”  This law went into effect on January 1 of this year.  However, this is defiant act against U.S. Federal law governing the treatment of illegal immigrants into the United States of America, of which California is still part.
The Trump Administration is not taking this lying down.
