Lanny Davis – the attorney for Michael Cohen, has massively backpedaled on “confident assertions” that Cohen would share information with investigators that President Trump knew of Russian efforts to undermine Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton – a lifelong friend of Davis’.
The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Davis said in an interview that he is “no longer certain about claims he made to reporters on background and on the record in recent weeks about what Cohen knows about Trump’s awareness of the Russian efforts.”

Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign manager, is suing Mueller for going outside the legitimate scope of investigation. Manafort was indicted on 12 counts related to unlawful financial dealings. The Special Counsel has paid particular attention to the involvement of Mr. Manafort’s company in a lobbying campaign that ended in 2014, his bank accounts and tax filings through 2014, and personal expenditures from his political consulting work, none of which have any connection whatsoever to the 2016 Trump campaign.

General Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about meeting with the Russian Ambassador. However, this was after Trumps election, not before.
