BREAKING: Duterte did NOT approach US for military assistance in Philippines

Yesterday, Reuters broke a story calming that the US has agreed to a Philippine request to assist Philippines in the war against ISIS, a story confirmed by both a military spokesman for Philippines and the United States. The story has now been directly contradicted by Philippines President Duterte, also according to Reuters. Duterte claims that he “never approached U.S”.
Duterte further stated,

“I am not aware of that (any request for US assistance) until they (US forces) arrived”.

CONFIRMED: US enters fight against ISIS in Philippines

The Philippine military has confirmed that the United States has started to offer limited support to President Rodrigo Duterte’s battle with ISIS.
Duterte had said that the US is unreliable as an ally insofar as they impose ideological conditions as a prerequisite for any kind of assistance. Duterte contrasted this with Russia and China which operate in a more straightforward and businesslike manner.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is in Astana along with the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in a ceremony and conference welcoming India and Pakistan to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
Putin spoke of the need for further cooperation on all matters of mutual interest ranging from trade to anti-terrorism measures. As the Philippine army goes after ISIS targets in the southern city of Marawi, ISIS in Philippines have made a video showing the destruction, desecration and ultimately the burning down of a local church.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to offer terrorists nothing but death in a rallying call to his nation.
There is little lower and more vile than destroying a holy place. ISIS does not represent a religion, it is merely a death cult.

36 dead and rising in Manila atrocity

The death toll from a terrorist attack at a leisure centre in Manila for which ISIS have claimed responsibility has left at least 36 dead with the death toll said to be rising.
Reports indicate that a lone masked gunman started firing shots into a crowd of people at Resort World Manila before setting himself on fire, although conflicting official reports state that he was shot dead. Many have concluded that the man was shot before setting himself ablaze.

Philippine media have been sharing a post from retired Philippine military veteran Abe Purugganan which claims that the ISIS war on Philippines is part of an internal coup organised by members of the opposition Liberal Party with an aim to illegally oust democratically elected Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
Mr.  Purugganan claims that he is publishing information provided by a whistle-blower who works inside the opposition Liberal Party of Philippines.
