Kayleigh McEnany, President Trump’s press secretary, seized the elitist behavior of House Speaker and aspiring Queen Bee (without the “ee”) Nancy Pelosi and launched Thursday’s daily press briefing with a scathing review of the Speaker’s behavior of late. For McEnany, (and for many Americans, indeed), Nancy Pelosi is the problem.

Tucker Carlson interviewed Erica Kious, the owner of the San Francisco eSalon, which got a visit by the most powerful Democrat on earth, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelose. She visited the salon for a wash and blow-dry, the same as any client might, only… the salon has been closed since March because of COVID-19 lockdowns in San Francisco and California over all, and the owner is confronting the likelihood of losing her business due to the draconian levels of the shutdown, unequalled anywhere in the nation.
A lot of news writing is certainly the order of the day during and after the national conventions of both American major political parties. We were presented with a very strange array of people for the Democrat side, ending with an even stranger acceptance speech by former Vice President Joe Biden, who finally, third time lucky (?), stands as his party’s nominee for the Presidency. However, his speech was strange because it was from some other America, and not the one being torn to shreds by the very political party he is in charge of.
Joe Biden gave his acceptance speech last night at the Democrat National Convention. It surprised many people on both sides of the political aisle. It was an absolutely strange capstone event to a Convention that gave us a look at some of the most deranged people in America, as well as the heads who wish to rule the United States through their newly minted proxy candidate.
With all the crazy shifting narratives in American news about Coronvirus – the availability of treatments, the effectiveness of masks, the ineffectiveness of masks, the persecution of Christians who want to go to Church and pray and receive Holy Communion, the comparative safety of riots and attacking people, statues and buildings who are deemed “racist” by historically ignorant overgrown teenagers who are too stoned to think straight…
Well, you get the idea.
As the dramatic events in the Ukraine are unfolding the topic of what President Yanukovich can, or can not do, regularly comes up and I think that this is a good time to go back to basics and look at what a government — any government, regardless of its political orientation — can and even must do when confronted with an urban armed insurrection.
