The district starts north of Clovis and includes the suburbs north and east of the Fresno airport and winds down through Dinuba, Visalia and Tulare, a very productive agricultural area with more Latinos and Asians than Anglos.

Devin Nunes' Central Valley congressional district (CA-22) begins north of Clovis and Fresno and it's northern and eastern suburbs beyond the airport. The district meanders down through Dinuba and Visalia and ends just south of Tulare. It's a pretty red district-- McCain and Romney both beat Obama (respectively 56-43% and 57-42%) and in 2016 Trump beat Clinton 52.1% to 42.6%.

Breitbart appears frightened that Señor Trumpanzee could abandon Stephen's racism and xenophobia for something more pragmatic. They were calling him "Amnesty Don" Thursday morning (above) but appear to have changed the headline slightly by afternoon (below). But they're still whining about the DREAMers, as you can see.

Neither Will Hurd (R-TX) nor Pete Aguilar (New Dem-CA) are very popular in their districts and, frankly, neither deserves reelection. A Democrat is likely to beat Hurd, although the DCCC and the Castro Machine have its fingers on the scale for a worthless Blue Dog in South Texas. And it will take some time before a progressive is in position to primary Aguilar in the Inland Empire. They’re both useless back-benchers from overwhelmingly Hispanic districts and this week they co-sponsored a DACA compromise-- a “discussion draft” ahead of Trump’s January 19 deadline.

Any impartial observers would agree that House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has been doing all he can do to sabotage his own committee’s bipartisan examination of the Russian activities that took place in regard to the 2016 presidential election.

The Ryan-Trump Tax Scam took special aim at high tax/high services states like New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and California— all “blue states”— with the SAL provisions that disallows the deductions for state and local taxes on federal income tax forms.

Ryan got his Republican tax scam through the House yesterday 227-205. No one doubted it would pass the House. Only 13 Republicans dared to stand up for their constituents instead of the multimillionaires and billionaires who will benefit from this travesty. Most were from New York, New Jersey and California.

Laura Oatman would be a great replacement for Dana RohrabacherTed Lieu, the hero of today's Jeff Sessions grilling at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, is also the West Coast regional vice-chair of the DCCC. He's the only one who's doing a good job.
