Working class candidates often point to their roots when they talk about why they can be trusted to represent the interests of working families. The best examples this cycle have been Randy Bryce (D-WI), Kaniela Ing (D-HI), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Jared Golden (D-ME), Tom Guild (D-OK) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Class has been integral to all of their campaigns-- both as motivationally and in terms of goals.
Paul Ryan says that no evidence exists to show that the FBI spied on Trump, except for the fact that mountains of evidence exist that the FBI sent Stefan Halper to spy on Trump associates, paving the way for an FBI FISA warrant that would lead to more FBI spying on the Trump campaign.
With friends like Paul Ryan, who needs enemies.
Make no mistake about it, Ryan is simply trying to protect the Deep State swamp that he has been a part of for so many years.

WASHINGTON – With the 2018 Congressional midterm elections approaching, Republicans – eager to keep their control of both houses of Congress – have been seeking lucrative donations that would give Republican candidates an advantage in the lead-up to November.
For over a decade it's been hard to find anyone "credible" (or at least "establishment") to run against Paul Ryan. For 4 cycles, Pelosi and her team laughed hysterically as the Ryan family orthopedist, Jeffrey Thomas, was the official candidate of the Democratic party against Ryan. Isn't that cute? It wasn't 'til Rob Zerban ran against him in 2012 that Ryan had a real opponent, albeit still one Pelosi's DCCC gang refused to support in any meaningful way.
Truth-telling counts for nothing at all in DC; it's all about working within a narrative, positioning, marketing. When he announced he was bailing, Paul Ryan looked into the camera and, as he so often does, lied. He said he's certain the Republicans would hold the House majority.

Ryan will be running away from his House Speaker job; actually driven away by the harsh reality that he was, in no way, mentally equipped or spiritually inclined to do what the job is supposed to be.
