Bergamot essential oil is derived from the bergamot orange, a fruit endemic to the Calabria region of Italy. You may already be familiar with its citrusy flavor--it is most notably used in Earl Grey tea! However, this isn't the only place that bergamot can be found. Over an 8-year period, a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition tracked the French fry consumption of 4,400 men and women, ages 45 to 79. At the end of the study, 236 of the participants had died. [2]

CDC: More Than 1 in 3 Americans Eat Fast-Food Every Day

It’s likely that most Americans are well-versed when it comes to how unhealthy fast-food is, yet a survey published October 3 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that more than 1 in 3 Americans eat fast food on any given day. [1]
The survey, compiled by the National Center for Health Statistics, shows that between 2013 and 2016, more than 36% – more than 1 in 3 – hit up a fast-food joint every day.
