Federal magistrate judge Brian Epps once again denied bail to alleged NSA leaker Reality Winner. This time, Epps contended Winner’s “hate” for America and supposed admiration of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Julian Assange make her a dangerous threat.
Winner is accused of “removing classified material from a government facility and mailing it to a news outlet.” She allegedly mailed a classified document on Russian hacking to the Intercept and is in pretrial detention awaiting a trial that is currently scheduled for March.
In January of 2013, following his suicide, Aaron Swartz’s family and partner released an official statement declaring his death more than a mere personal tragedy. They claim, “It is the product of a criminal justice system rife with intimidation and prosecutorial overreach”.

If you thought the militarized police response to Ferguson and Baltimore was bad, brace yourselves. Many police, including beat cops, now routinely carry assault rifles. Combined with body armor and other apparel, many officers look more and more like combat troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thanks to President Trump, this transformation of America into a battlefield is only going to get worse. To be fair, Trump did not create this totalitarian nightmare.

One fact that never entered the mainstream media news cycle connected to Hillary’s email scandal (and most likely never will), is that simple fact that the “lost” emails from Clinton’s private server are not lost at all.
The NSA has all the emails, and was prepared to share them with the FBI, but during the FBI’s “sham” investigation into Hillary’s email server, former director James Comey did not want to hear about it.
