The media loves to make any sort of peace process look like a personal matter between two sides with hurt feelings, when nothing could be further from the truth. Predictable condemnation of the declaration of the state of Malorossiya has come from EU states, the Kiev regime and even Russian officials. But on closer inspection, Malorossiya could be a win-win situation for Europe, Russia, the United States and for the people of Malorossiya.
Here’s why.
1. Malorossiya to remain sovereign from the Russian Federation
In 1667, the Treaty of Andrusovo affirmed Russian sovereignty over historic Russian lands that had been part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth since the 14th century. These areas were de-facto Russian ever since the Treaty of Pereyaslav, signed in 1654 as an alliance between local Cossacks and the government in Moscow.
The restoration of Russian lands was affirmed in the 1686 Treaty of Perpetual Peace.
Today marks the three year anniversary of a deadly air raid lunched by the air force of the Ukrainian regime against the Lugansk People’s Republic.
After skirmishes at a border base in Lugansk, the regime in Kiev ordered an aerial bombing which left 11 dead and 8 wounded. These numbers are at best, conservative estimates.
The Ukrainian regime later went on record lying about the incident saying that the carnage was caused by surface to air missiles operated by the Lugansk People’s Republic.
The 2nd of May marks the three year anniversary of one of the most tragic events of the 21st century. 42 peaceful protesters were killed when gangs of fascist thugs, most from far outside the region, went on a rampage that can only be described as hellish.
The Prelude
For months, peaceful protesters had set up camp outside the Odessa Trade Unions House. They were there to show solidarity against the fascist, nationalistic and ultra-right wing forces gathered on the Maidan in Kiev.
As part of a wider drive to expand the media presence of the Donbass republics, The Donetsk People’s Republic has set up a phone-line as part of an effort to help unify Donbass.
Unsurprisingly, the phone-line has been receiving calls from many areas outside of the two Donbass republics including from Odessa, Kharkov and Ternopol.
