Christie Still Lying His Ass Off-- "It's Just A Game Of Gotcha"

CPAC hasn't liked Chris Christie. They saw him as too mainstream or even "moderate." Now they see him as a potential cause célèbre that can be turned into a fundraising bonanza for right-wing groups hoping to milk their base of Foxified saps. Yesterday's Christian Science Monitor pointed out that right-wingers from Paul Ryan and Bobby Jindal to Hate Talk Radio sociopaths Mark Levin and Sean Hannity, who haven't appreciated Christie 'til now, are part of his cheering squad.

Living the dream: Staten Island commuters no longer have to climb all those stairs to get to SI-bound ferries

What's the big deal? you ask. So there are escalators going up from street level to the "business" level of the Manhattan-side Staten Island Ferry Terminal? Well, it's a huge deal for Staten Island commuters, who have had to make the long climb up the stairs for the year and a quarter since Superstorm Sandy destroyed those escalators.

Maybe Christie And His Mafia Pal Michael Grimm Can Be Roomies In The Federal Pen

No one who reads DWT regularly wasn't already sure that Chris Christie directed the scandal now known as Bridge-gate. And of course he's been orchestrating the entire cover-up. Friday night, the NY Times broke the story that Christie has been lying his ass off from day one-- which only fools didn't already know.

Crash! Boom! Thud! Is that the the sound of the earth opening as NJ Fats's other massive clodhopper falls to the ground?

by KenI had it in mind this evening to do a quick progress report on the unraveling of the idiotic lies of NJ Gov. Kris KrispyKreme, ex-VA Gov. "Handsome Bob" MicDonnell, and our newest celebrity thug-liar, NY Rep. "Mikey Suits' Grimm, but I decided to go instead with my latest Super Bowl City update.

Today's Update from Super Bowl City: What to do if if turns out your Super Bowl tickets are fake

What, you thought you could just walk into MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl on Sunday? You sad dreamer! If you're already in East Rutherford, NJ (and we won't ask why you're in East Rutherford, NJ), you have to make the long march to Secaucus, NJ (by the time you're making the schlepp from East Rutherford to Secaucus, you should have a strong hint that your life hasn't turned out quite the way you hoped), and then take the NJ Transit train.

Like NJ Guv KrispyKreme, ex-VA Guv McDonnell seems to have been asking: Why should white-collar crime be limited to the elites?

Washingtonpost.com caption: "In a Jan. 3, 2012, photo, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell wears a Rolex during an interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. At the time, McDonnell said the watch was a Christmas gift from his wife. Sources say Williams purchased the $6,500 Rolex for the governor at first lady Maureen McDonnell's request.

Who? Gov. Kris KrispyKeme -- a BULLY? You must be thinking of someone else! (Probably that #%^& bum Obama. "Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!")

by KenYou've seen Media Matters' Hannah Groch-Begley's report on Fox Noise's "coverage" of the new development in the burgeoning scandals of NJ Gov. Kris KrispyKreme, "Fox Keeps Christie Scandal Buried as New Allegations Emerge," right?First Hannah catches us up on MSNBC's report of the new allegations by Hoboken Mayor

Chris Christie's Political Ambitions: Dead In The Water-- And Getting Deader

On Meet The Press yesterday, Chris Matthews ended the segment on the rapidly expanding Chris Christie scandal by pointing out that Christie's greatest hit in the eyes of the general public was how much of an activist, on-the-ground leader he was when Hurricane Sandy devastated wide swathes of New Jersey. Matthews pointed out the incongruity of Christie's supposed nowhere-to-be-found posture when his aides shut down the George Washington Bridge for 4 days.

Confidential to Governor KrispyKreme: Uh, you do know, governor, that THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC STUDY?

"I don't know whether this was a traffic study that then morphed into a political vendetta or a political vendetta that morphed into a traffic study."-- New Jersey Gov. Kris KrispyKreme,at his press conference yesterdayby KenI wrote most of this post yesterday, then decided to hold my peace. (Howie covered this ground in his late post last night.) Today maybe not so much.

Looks Like Humpty Dumpty Is Falling Off A Bridge-- Will Chris Christie Resign?

"They are the children of Buono voters."When Blue America endorsed Barbara Buono for governor of New Jersey last year, it wasn't because she's pretty and it wasn't because she's a Democrat. It's because she's an outstanding, principled progressive and because she was running against the corrupt transpartisan New Jersey political machine headed by one of America's worse governors ever, Chris Christie.
