Let's start with Nebraska, where conservative Republican Ben Sasse began his reelection bid yesterday. He was first elected in 2014 against Democrat David Domina, 64.4% to 31.5%. 347,636 Nebraskans voted for him. Sasse was the first sitting senator to announce he wouldn't support Trump if Trump won the Republican nomination in 2016.

About 90.35% of the voters are white, 3.65% Hispanic, 2.7% Black and 2.11% Asian. Sasse has been with him 87.5% of the time on roll call votes-- far more than Susan Collins (R-ME), Jon McCain (R-AZ), Rand Paul (R-KY), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Bob Corker (R-TN), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) or Mike Lee (R-UT).

Last Tuesday, one of the biggest victories for progressives was Kara Eastman's win in the Nebraska Democratic primary. She beat Blue Dog and DCCC endorsee Brad Ashford 20,239 (51.43%) to 19,113 (48.57%).
