Protests against the National Anthem by NFL players have contributed to the organization's loss of one-million viewers compared to 2016. According to OKTC's Clay Travis, the four networks that carry the NFL (CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC) are on pace to lose $500 million this season compared to last year due to the ratings slide. The top reason for the loss is "cord-cutting" which is cancelling subscriptions to multi-channel television services on cable.

Many Americans have become polarized by players protesting during the National Anthem. Apparently, those opposing the protest believe respect for the flag comes before the exercise of Free Speech.
(SP) — During the third week of the National Football League season, the NFL responded to President Donald Trump’s comments slurring players, who take a knee during the national anthem to protest injustice, police brutality, and systemic racism. The owners and coaches linked arms to show Trump he would not divide them. But there were several players, who took stronger action and continued to engage in the tactic of taking a knee.

The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!
