Southern California cops shot and killed a mentally ill man Sunday after he barricaded himself inside his van after being pulled over for an inoperable tail light.
Orange police can be seen flushing the man out of the van with high-powered water hoses – which they say they did for his safety – before shooting  him to death.
They claimed he had a knife, but a video of the incident recorded by OnScene.TV does not show a knife in his hands.
However, the videographer was standing further away from the man than the cops.

New Mexico cops from three agencies were smothering a mentally ill handcuffed man with their body weight as he repeatedly told them he could not breathe, only for them to keep asking for his date of birth, never once acknowledging they could possibly be killing him.
“I’m dying,” Anthony C de Baca groaned, but the cops ignored him as they made small talk while planting their knees on his back and forcing his handcuffed hands down into his wrists in a pain compliance tactic known as the wristlock.

A North Carolina district attorney announced no charges will be filed against Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer Brentley Vinson in the September shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott, which sparked several nights of riots.

Washington cops responding to a “wellness check” at the home of a pregnant Native American woman in Washington on Muckleshoot tribal lands shot and killed the mother of three, claiming she had a handgun when they arrived on Friday.
“It’s really upsetting because it was a wellness check,” said Danielle Bargala, Renee Davis’ foster sister.
“Obviously, she didn’t come out of it well.”

A Texas man called police asking for a mental health officer because his wife was acting erratic.
The mental health officers showed up and killed his wife.
Austin police say they had to kill Micah D’sheigh Jester because they were in fear for their lives because she was holding a BB gun that looked real.
They say she wanted to be killed, telling them, “shoot me, shoot me, kill me,” according to Fox 7.

California cops shot a man with a knife Sunday who was barking at them while standing in traffic and yelling the word “bulldog.”
“His behavior was outside of the norm,” Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.
The Fresno police officer shot him twice in the abdomen, but the man survived and is recovering at a local hospital after undergoing surgery.
Police say there is body cam footage as well as footage from a traffic camera of the shooting, but videos have not yet been released.

In what has become a daily theme, a bipolar California man called police for help early Friday morning, only for Pasadena police to show up and kill him.
The man has been identified as Reginald Thomas, who was having a mental episode, but when police showed up, he refused to drop a knife and a fire extinguisher.
That promoted police to taser him twice, then strike him several times with their batons and repeatedly kick him until he died.

Searching for an armed carjacker who had fired at them more than two hours earlier, Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies came across an unarmed mentally ill man and killed him instead.
Donnell Thompson, 27, had nothing to do with the carjacking, but deputies said he matched the description of one of the carjackers, so they didn’t want to take any chances.
After all, they said, Thompson could have placed the community in danger had they not killed him.

A Pennsylvania cop shot a 20-year-old man to death Sunday night, claiming the man was holding a knife to his mother’s throat.
The man’s mother, however, denies that claim, saying her son never held a knife to her throat.
The Harrisburg Police Department does not use body cameras, so unless a citizen video surfaces, it will remain the cop’s word against the mother’s word.
All that can be confirmed now is that Earl Pinckney was shot dead by a police officer, who has not been named.

Korryn Gaines swore to police they would have to take her out in a body bag during a traffic stop back in March.
But Baltimore County police managed to pull her out of her car that day without killing her, throwing her in jail for two days on several misdemeanors after they pulled her over for driving without a proper license plate.
In place of a license place, she had a piece of cardboard that read: “Any government official who compromises this pursuit to happiness and right to travel, will be held criminally responsible and fined, as this is a natural right to freedom.”
