One Republican-- Matt Gaetz I think-- said the crowd wasn't screaming "Boo!" but "Two!" as in two terms. That never took hold, not even on Trump-TV. Perhaps there really are some imaginary centrists and unicorns out there who are-- like Joe Scarborough-- offended that the spontaneous booing of Trump at the world series was as horrible as the Republican who said they should all be punished said it was.
Yesterday, in his Atlantic column, David Frum delved into a sordid piece of British history that led to the Founding Fathers including the power of impeachment in the Constitution. The recently restored Charles II of Great Britain, in need of money he couldn't get from Parliament, accepted bribes from the French Sun King, Louis XIV, in return for Dunkirk, then a British base on the coast of France (and for Charles' pledge to convert to Catholicism).
You like Bernie's progressive agenda? Elizabeth Warren's progressive agenda? Even if America elects one of them-- or, hopefully, both of them-- to run the executive branch, without a more progressive legislative branch, much of that agenda will be stymied. As we saw Thursday, Medicare had been blocked since 1915 by a coalition of conservative Democrats and Republicans until a Democratic landslide in 1964, a landslide that made the GOP irrelevant and took power away from the Southern Democrats (the garbage members called Blue Dogs and New Dems today).

Cluelessly, Schumer is urging former Colorado Senator Frackenlooper to drop his presidential bid-- that's not the cluelsss part-- and run for the Colorado Senate seat instead-- that's the clueless part. That would set up a Democratic Party specialty: a lesser of two evils race that would make Democratic voters sick to their stomachs. Frackenlooper is detested in his own state.
Allan Lichtman correctly predicted the winner of every presidential election since 1984. He even predicted Trump would win in 2016. This year he said Trump would win again-- unless Pelosi jumps out of a window on the 48th floor of the Transamerica Pyramid... or in some other way let's go off her insane and unpatriotic and defeatist notion of not impeaching Trump.
