The Committee to Protect Journalists is based in New York but the bulk of its work is usually in tyrannical and oppressive regimes in backward parts of the world-- Russia, Bangladesh, Mexico, Iran, Nigeria, Ethiopia, China, Pakistan... But not this week. Erick Erickson disinvited Trump from his for-profit GOP presidential forum today. "I am just not willing to give up being a decent person for Donald Trump," the notorious sexist pig Erickson told Red State attendees. Some applauded, some booed.

The stories coming out of India and Pakistan about the murders of women last week have been gut-wrenching. Both were primitive and barbaric acts within the context of conservative and patriarchal culture that deem women less than human.

You know, I barely even care about the hypocrisy of Republicans running on Family Values platitudes and then bonking each other. It's their personal problem and a problem for their stupid base voters who are motivated by that drivel. The Vance McAllister (R-LA) kissing episode, though, has captured the imagination of the public.

Yesterday, crazed woman-hater--and very sick, deranged closet case-- Trent Franks (R-AZ) finally got a bill passed... kind of. Even Republicans found his rape comments so offensive and so dangerous to GOP election prospects that they took him off the case before the vote and put up an anti-Choice woman as the bill's "sponsor," Tennessee crackpot Marsha Blackburn.
