Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press”, Santelli dismantled the “fake news” lie about Russian hacking intended to influence the presidential election, while Todd, Mitchell, and a has been US congresswoman continued to repeat US intelligence propaganda that only a fool (or paid off stooge) would believe by now.
I'd venture to guess that most people who have heard of Phineas Taylor Barnum (P.T. Barnum) think he coined the phrase "there's a sucker born every minute." He didn't, nor did Donald Trump, but both men have lived their lives as though they did. Barnum plagued American for most of the 19th Century, a hustler who Trumpf has modeled himself on. He was a businessman/showman, author and politician (briefly).
When Herr Trumpf comes in among the most admired men in America, one has to wonder who are they askingOn the surface, Trumpf's running away with the Republican nomination-- and, in fact, he may (although I've always believed Ted Cruz is the perfect match for what the GOP has become, even more so than Herr Trumpf and that it is Cruz who will be the nominee).
Paul Ryan just got big raise-- from the $174,000 a congressman makes to the highest pay anyone in Congress gets, $223,500 as Speaker. And a lot of free TV time. In fact, today Ryan was scheduled for ABC's This Week, CBS' Face the Nation, CNN's State of the Union, Fox's Fox News Sunday, and NBC's Meet The Press.
Yesterday on Meet The Press Texas neo-fascist Ted Cruz adamantly refused to acknowledge to Chuck Todd that Ayn Rand devotee Paul Ryan is a "true conservative." Cruz drew a contrast by pointing out that Hate Talk Radio host Mark Levin, who is anti-Ryan, is a true conservative. "I like Paul Ryan," said Cruz.
If the Democratic primary is decided on issues and if those issues are traditional bread and butter issues, Bernie Sanders will be the next nominee. Obviously, the Clinton Machine is doing everything it can to make sure the primary is not decided along those lines. Hillary's opportunistically-modified Wall Street agenda can't effectively compete-- at least not among Democrats-- with the decades of genuine, authentic populism that have shaped Bernie's platform.
