Colorado Will Require Police Applicants to Undergo Psychological Evaluations to Crack Down on Rogue Cops

After it was revealed that Colorado has some of the weakest laws in the nation in weeding out bad cops, the state’s police certification board implemented new standards that would make it mandatory for all potential police officers to receive psychological and physical evaluations before they get hired.
The Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training also implemented new rules that would prevent rogue cops from simply transferring to a new department after losing their job over misconduct.

New York Times Publishes ACLU’s Factual Errors, Will They Publish Our Correction?

The New York Times usually gets it right, but the Newspaper of Record published an op-ed piece titled “How to Prosecute Abusive Prosecutors” containing a glaring factual error.
While we support the ACLU’s efforts and mission at PINAC News, we wish they would have returned our calls and emails this past week as we did our research.

Stupid Shit Cops Say to Keep You From Recording

As I dive deeper and deeper into the legal complexities of the right to photograph and record in public (I can quote Glik v Cuniffe so fast I will make your head spin), I have noticed a disturbing trend:
The reasons and excuses offered by police officers, firefighters, security officers, even teachers and principals, to keep you from taking a photograph are just plain pathetic.

National Media Duped Again, Falling for False Anon Report Listing Gay and Hispanic Mayors as KKK Members

After a week of anticipation, the national media clamored all over a document purportedly leaked by Anonymous listing several prominent politicians affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan – not finding it strange that topping the list was an openly gay mayor as well as a Hispanic mayor who has long fought for the rights of migrant farm workers.
Not exactly the core values of the KKK, who believe in an all-white society shunning homosexuals and immigrants.

FBI Unable to Prove Existence of Planned “Halloween Revolt” Ambush on Cops by National Liberation Militia

In a few hours as the sun sets and Halloween descends upon us, the streets of this country will turn into battlefields, pitting masked anarchists against uniformed cops, escalating this so-called War on Police, who are only trying to keep us safe.
That is, if you believe the FBI and the countless news sites that regurgitated its warning earlier this week about a group called the National Liberation Militia planning a “Halloween Revolt” this evening.

The lawsuit states that the mayor uses private phones and private emails to conduct city business as a way to avoid the public release of his city related correspondences and activity.

TPP: Secretly Negotiated And Minimally Reported. Putting A Nice Wool Hood Over The Eyes Of Americans

By NoahIt’s safe to say that when Hillary Clinton finally announced, recently, that she was not supporting the Trans-Pacific Partnership or TPP as it is more routinely called, that that was the first time many Americans had ever heard of TPP. Why? Well, for one thing, the negotiations of this particular international trade pact have been held in near total secrecy.
