(KANSAS CITY, MO) – Quentin Lucas, Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, announced last week an extension of the city’s State of Emergency declaration through mid-January. The extension is specifically related to the mask mandate which was implemented in June.

Having spent years in Asia and having adapted to mask wearing on airplanes decades ago, I was an early adapter to masks for dealing with the pandemic sometime in March when the government was still urging people to not wear masks.

The CDC estimates the infection fatality ratio of Sars-Cov-2 to be about 0.26%. A number perfectly in line with severe flu seasons. Virtually every country in Europe is now reporting average, or even below average, mortality. Broadly speaking, the vast majority of the world is, and will likely remain, absolutely fine. But things aren’t going back to normal, are they?

It’s no surprise by now that continued lockdowns and closures are killing the economy and increasing suffering for families and communities across the country.

Ever since western governments veered towards lockdowns supposedly to protect the public from COVID-19, technocrat agenda makers and social engineers at organizations like the World Economic Forum (WEF) have devised their own roadmap for 21s century society which they are calling the “New Normal” – supposedly in order to stop successive ‘Second Waves’ of the virus.

Both the US Surgeon General and the CDC have flip-flopped on this issue but keep returning to the 'wear-the-mask' position, perhaps as a psychological measure to convince the sleeping public convinced that the pretended pandemic is real.

Flee, Flight or Freeze

Melbourne — Being in control of a sinking ship is not enviable.  Regulations previously passed have a museum feel to them, distinctly obsolete.  Directions, once dictated with confidence, lack timbre.  Coronavirus is serving as that most wily and cheeky of agents, with the most appropriate of accomplices: Homo sapiens.  Human beings are fed up, munching on conspiracy tales, wondering when a vaccine will arrive, and generally fatigued.
