Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot, has made a lot of news in recent months. Cursing out her councilman (who is also a very liberal Democrat) who wanted to protect his constituents in his own neighborhood, reviling President Trump and driving business out of her own city’s center, with Macys and Bloomingdales both closing their stores on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, the mayor has demonstrated the same absolutely insane reasoning process being duplicated in Seatlle, Portland, New York City and all other Democrat-controlled states and cities in the country.
If you haven’t heard of the Peter Principle, it is named after its originator, Laurence J. Peter, who with innate modesty published a book so titled in 1970. Stated briefly, the Peter Principle means people will rise to the level of their incompetence. Boris Johnson is a rare example of this in reverse. He was sacked from his first job with the London Times, and his early career was a car crash, but he served two terms as a reasonably competent Mayor of London, and has been doing a similarly reasonable job as Prime Minister.
Back in July, 21WIRE reported on the excessive Lockdown measures being enforced by Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot (pictured above), as she attempted be the first major city in the United States to try and enforce travel quarantines for its 3 million residents.
