Michigan: Voters Terminate Entire Local Government over Support for China-Linked EV Battery Company

Green Charter Township has a population of 3,210 people, and they felt that they were not represented by their elected leaders. Voters objected to Gotion establishing a factory in their area because the company pledges loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Kruse showed that voting in local government matters.

It’s Time to Focus on Localism, Decentralization and Community

Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” to serve. You don’t have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.

Municipalities want power they are currently denied so they can impose rent control, supposedly to give local citizens “what they want.” But that raises the question of whether rent control policy should be vested at the state level or the local level.
