Remember that thing called the election? I mean the election. With our media’s ghoulish and juvenescent preoccupation with over-the-top funereal renditions of what is allegedly respectful remembrance and classy eulogia, all that matters is ignored. But I tried. And try. To redirect the attention span of our collective country.

The American public is distracted, detached and distanced from anything that we vaguely recognize as relevant. And who can blame us? It’s so much easier to talk of the pol who cuts a pizza slice with a knife and fork versus the patented pleated fold. Or seeing Madame Hillary fumble with a NY subway Metrocard to travel two stops in her sudden connection with the masses. We’re a country who knows nothing, feels nothing and appreciates nothing. That involves intellectual heavy lifting. And concern. Alas.

Fractured.  What appears to remain of the Republican Party as we know it – or knew it – is now being rended by internecine wars, feuds, squabbles, infighting and mutineering cabals. How delicious.

Chris Christie. I’ve seen hostage videos that looked more expressive and inviting than this poor schmuck’s. Relegated to DT’s rear, starting distantly, cluelessly and wondering, “What the hell have I done?” Soon, Double-C, you will find out.Charles Manson said it best. “You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody’s crazy.” A long time ago elections meant something also.

You’ll be sorry. You’ve been duped again by the illusion of choice.

You’ve surrendered. America: You’ve given up and surrendered through your intellectual torpor and malignant incuriosity. Listen carefully and be advised, it’s not a pretty picture.

The evidence being carted away. The most high profile Supreme Court justice of the past quarter century is found dead, and the cause of death is determined by a Justice of the Peace without seeing the body?! Let me repeat – Without seeing the body! And no autopsy was performed. The deaths of transients found in a dumpster behind a liquor store are investigated more thoroughly than this. And Scalia was arguably one of the most powerful individuals in the nation, the conservative SCOTUS polestar. Hello! Nothing to see here, kids.
