Trump’s Bluff or The Madness of The Apprentice: 100 Senators prepare for North Korea briefing

Tomorrow’s White House meeting between Donald Trump, Rex Tillerson, James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis and all 100 Senators could just be the biggest bluff of his Presidency and indeed the biggest bluff of recent US history. Of course it might not be. Both scenarios must be considered even though I lean heavily towards the ‘bluff’ theory.
I wish there was a better phrase for what I imagine this to be than a ‘made for TV Presidency’, but alas that is what it feels like.

5 misconceptions about North Korea explained

Yesterday, the North Korean Ambassador to the UN gave a tense press conference in which he issued a statement promising that his nation would exercise the full right to self-defence in the event of an attack from the US.

It appears Donald Tump is not satiated with flexing his military muscle in Syria nor with threatening to strike North Korea.
He’s continuing to up the ante. While nobody was paying attention, the United States Air Force just conducted its first test of a brand new nuclear bomb.
The National Nuclear Security Administration announced the news:

North Korea may be attacked by US within 24 hours

NBC news has reported that a US strike on North Korea may be imminent. According to the report,

“The U.S. is prepared to launch a preemptive strike with conventional weapons against North Korea should officials become convinced that North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test, multiple senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News”.

Malaysia And The Question Of North Korea

The Malaysian government has done the right thing in keeping the channels of communication with the North Korean Government open. It wants an amicable resolution of the friction arising from the murder of Kim Jong-Nam, the elder brother of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un, at KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) 2 on the 13th of February 2017.
