Kaniela Ing

Progressive candidates are starting to rollout impressive environmental platforms. Two of the greatest hopes for a stronger progressive future in Congress are Kaniela Ing in Hawaii and Rand Bryce in Wisconsin. Both have impressive plans that will make up for Trumpanzee's decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Accords-- and then some. Let's start with Kaniela's 7-point plan, which he calls the most aggressive/progressive plan for climate action in the nation:

Blue Dog John Barrow (GA) is a putz. He never belonged in Congress and never accomplished anything while he was there. After his Democratic constituents saw the ad above, they abandoned him and he lost his seat, since Republicans int appealed to had their own candidate. Pelosi and the DCCC never gave up on Barrow. When he was finally defeated, the DCCC wasted $2,382,846 trying to save him. Pelosi kicked in another $194,510 from her own SuperPAC.

The House Democrats are absolutely geriatric. The leadership is even more geriatric. We need a little-- or more than a little-- balance. I think we have two Blue America candidates in their 20s, both highly accomplished candidates: Austin Frerick (Iowa) and Kaniela Ing (HI). I'm older than both of them combined and yet I feel like I learn every time I talk to either one of them.

Ever notice that corrupt conservatives always seem to support payday lender schemes while progressives fight against them? As soon as Trump appointed Mick Mulvaney acting head of the CFPB-- the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau-- one of his first moves was to stop protecting consumers from predators in the payday lending world.

The House Democratic leadership is downright geriatric and steeped in plenty of old discredited ideas. They are roadblocks to marijuana legalization, primarily because they fear to make it any kind of a priority for the party. Steny Hoyer will be 79 in June. Nancy Pelosi turns 78 in March. Jim Clyburn will be 77 in July. The designated successor to take over the House Democratic leadership-- a corrupt Wall Street whore and the Queens machine boss, Joe Crowley-- is considered a young kid; he turns 55 in March.

Last summer we met Jasper Ward and his dad, former Kentucky congressman Mike Ward. Since then Jasper and Mike have been helping progressive candidates around the country-- like Kendra Fershee in West Virginia and Dan Canon in Indiana-- with marijuana legalization messaging.

There isn't a better candidate running for Congress than Kaniela Ing-- not a better candidate in Hawaii or a better candidate running anywhere. On of the top members of the state legislature, he has a record, not just on policy, but on courageous leadership that qualifies him for Congress. He's the kind of candidate who will make Congress a better place-- or die trying. He's not the kind of guy who's going to sit quietly in the back of the room while Pelosi, Hoyer and the corrupted establishment tell him what their rules are.Take a look at the clip up top.
