Illinois: A Cook County judge accused Kim Foxx’s office of a double standard in pursuing charges in a false report case after dropping the charges against Jussie Smollett.

Smollett pled guilty to nothing, his record was expunged, no written records of the deal were filed with the court, and all existing records of the crime were sealed. Smollett exhibited no remorse or humility, as the Empire actor was not willing to admit he fabricated the attack, telling reporters, “I have been truthful and consistent from day one.”

Jussie Smollett, the actor who was charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly hiring two black men to attack him in a staged 'hate crime' in January had the charges wiped away by State Attorney Kim Foxx's office.

Authorities claim the two attackers, who are black, have confessed to their role in the hoax after Smollett paid them $3,500 to stage the incident. Smollett may also face federal charges for mail fraud on allegations that he mailed a hate speech letter to himself.

2020 Dem hopefuls, Senators Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, rushed to judgment after Jussie Smollett claimed white-racist Trump supporters ambushed him with bleach and a noose. Both Senators called the hoax a "modern-day lynching" and used the phony scandal to pass an anti-lynching bill through Congress.

Chicago police raided the home of two Nigerian brothers who had appeared on the Empire TV series and know Smollett. Police collected bleach, shoes, electronics, receipts and other items from their home.

Senator Cory Booker called on the House of Representatives to pass a bill, that was passed by the Senate last summer, to designate lynching as a hate crime. [Cannot help but wonder if these same wise legislators would consider designating the fabrication of a hate crime to be a hate crime.]

Smollett waited 40 minutes to contact police. The one surveillance video that exists of him does not show the beating. No attackers are seen, so, they showed up, beat him badly, place a rope around neck, and completely vacated the scene, all in under 60 seconds. Amazing!
