Senator John McCain made a secret trip to a Kurdish-held region in northern Syria the week of February 20th, 2017, to speak with US military officials, rebel fighters, and leaders in the region.
McCain spokeswoman, Julie Tarallo, confirmed that McCain made this secret trip, calling it a “valuable opportunity to assess dynamic conditions on the ground in Syria and Iraq.”
After supporting Donald Trump’s missile strike on Syria, John McCain is once again criticising the Trump administration.
When asked if the White House bore some responsibility for the chemical attack that McCain claims Syria was responsible for, he responded by saying,

John McCain is not known for subtle remarks when it comes to foreign affairs. He once offered his audience an impromptu version of the song made popular by the Beach Boys, Barbara Ann, with his original lyrics, ‘bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran’.
McCain is deeply controversial to say the least. He was in Kiev agitating for regime change along side neo-Nazis during the Maidan coup in 2014.
