The Trump White House announced the restoration of sanctions against Iran, aimed at choking Tehran’s economy and, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted, “depriving the regime of the revenues it uses to spread death and destruction around the world.”
Pomeo said that the sanctions are “aimed at fundamentally altering the behaviour of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
Pompeo further added…
“Our ultimate aim is to compel Iran to permanently abandon its well-documented outlaw activities and behave as a normal country.”

TEHRAN, IRAN — The second International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) quarterly report since U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States would withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and impose sanctions on Iran has, once again, confirmed that Iran is in compliance with the restrictions placed on it.

After previously filing a lawsuit against the U.S. over the threat of new sanctions, Iran asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday to lift new sanctions imposed in recent weeks.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Thursday that the United States has formed an “Iran Action Group” within the State Department to guide Washington’s post-nuclear deal policy. The group will coordinate all activity and policy related to Iran, including inter-agency initiatives after President Trump withdrew the US from the 2015 nuclear deal in May.
Pompeo told reporters the action group would be “directing, reviewing and coordinating all aspects of the State Department’s Iran-related activity.”

We can all thank God for the fact that the AngloZionists did not launch a war on the DPRK, that no Ukronazi attack on the Donbass took place during the World Cup in Russia and that the leaders of the Empire have apparently have given up on their plans to launch a reconquista of Syria.  However, each of these retreats from their hysterical rhetoric has only made the Neocons more frustrated and determined to show the planet that they are still The Hegemon who cannot be disobeyed with impunity.
