Individual Responsibility

In a free society, people have a moral responsibility for their speech, while at the same time a free society requires legal responsibility only for what they actually do.

I bring you the bank of the Mississippi River. I hand you a shovel. “Your job,” I say, “is to change the flow of this river. You are only allowed to use this shovel.” Could you do it?

President Trump recently proclaimed, “No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly.” This might be another manifestation of our culture of victimhood but the New England Patriots have a strategy that Trump can use when times are tough.
